MercTech Holdings LLC is a software consultancy in Winter Park, Florida, founded and led by Tony Mercado: a principal engineer with 20 years of production experience across travel, healthcare, and ecommerce.
The model is simple. I’m personally involved in every engagement, from the first scoping call to the architecture to the code itself. For focused builds, I do the work solo. For larger programs, I assemble a senior engineering team and lead it hands-on. Either way, the person who scoped your project stays accountable for delivering it.

- Principal-led, always: I’m in the architecture, the code reviews, and the hard decisions on every project, whether the team is one engineer or ten
- Senior teams, sized to the project: larger programs get vetted senior engineers I direct personally. No junior handoffs, no anonymous bench
- Fixed-bid projects: written scope, fixed price, milestone payments
- Infrastructure as code from day one: everything reproducible, nothing console-clicked
- AI-augmented delivery: my own AI agents handle research, ops, and tooling, so every engineer on the project moves faster
Where I work
Based in Winter Park, Florida. I serve Orlando and Central Florida in person, and remote teams across the US. Most engagements are fully remote with a weekly cadence call.
